Biography
Alejandro Olmo signed his first painting in 1974, and less than a decade later he opened his art workshop in Tonala, Jalisco, Mexico, where he created ceramics and paintings for years.
His early ethnic and pre-Hispanic Mesoamerican influences cannot be ignored, mainly those from the western part of Mexico, which included Huichol design and the ceramics of Colima, Jalisco and Nayarit, as well as the Mayan and
Teotihuacan culture.
Alejandro has travelled to different parts of the world with his art. He’s created large detailed ceramic murals, and has been commissioned to decorate and give the artistic touch to restaurants, homes, backyards and swimming pool tiles. In between large projects, he creates delicate watercolors that serve as studies for larger work. All of his work is one of a kind.

Alejandro is still creating in mixed media, and now resides in Southern California’s Coachella Valley
